Receding Tide

A collection of contemplative paintings and mixed-media works inspired by the sea at low-tide.  

In these works I am exploring transparency, light, textures, but also the ideas of ebb and flow, ways to look at the world and ways to represent it.  My process incorporates the use of photographic materials, fragmentation, repetition, scaling in and out, gestural drawing and muscle memory.
